A difficult situation I have worked through was electronic system crashing and had to proceed with the normal routine for the day in the office. We had to put our thinking caps on. We begin by prepping dummy charts until each patient arrives collect each patient name as they come in and for what physician they are seeing made copies of insurance and identifications to be entered in the system at a later time. Collect necessary copays and give handwritten receipts. When the system was effectively working we had to complete the entire process in the system which includes checking patient in and scanning documents in desire areas and adding payments made to patients accounts. It was a strain on the office but we managed to make it a success working as a team and communicating effectively. ???
