I always have a tendency to low-ball myself ..just plain feel inadequate to judge the demand for what I do. I asked 50k range based on previous salaries I had been paid, immediately picked up on 'the look' exchanged between the owner and my future direct supervisor, stated I would be willing to start at 40k and work my way up to prove to them I could do the job. Immediately accepted.
