I was given a challenge to complete in my own time ahead of my on site interview. It was quite a good challenge and fun, but it was more work than a normal interview. It meant when I went in for the on site final interview we skipped all the usual probing and basic questioning. It was nice to avoid the redundant questions and we all had a clear view on my skill set. It took a lot of stress out of the process.
