I gave three answers that helped provide different insights into my character: I first listed Joss Whedon for his work on Buffy/Angel/Firefly; I listed a Polish director who I learned about in a film class (Andrzej Wajda); and I listed the Wachowski siblings to demonstrate an interest in action/SciFi films.
