I’ve gained valuable experience owning a wide range of HR functions — from FMLA administration to recruitment to drafting policies — as the sole HR rep at my current company. While I’m always willing to pitch in and support the team, I’ve found that some of the responsibilities I’m being asked to take on—like facilities work outside of my HR scope—aren’t aligned with my role or long-term career goals, for example I’m cleaning the bathrooms. However, I’m now seeking a role where I can continue growing in a more structured HR environment with mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to contribute within a seasoned team. My goal is to continue developing as a strategic HR professional in a setting where I can make a lasting impact
