I replied by saying that ABAP is a procedural language. Previously, I've helped someone prepare presentations about another procedural language and I am aware that generally speaking, the learning curve would be quite reasonable after having figured out OOP. I also made the point that I am happy to have another in-demand skill under my belt, so I really wouldn't mind having to pick something like that up.
