One of the many reasons I would like to obtain this position is being able to work with a group that has often been marginalized. Somewhere our society has this idea that all students traditionally complete xyz program in xyz time with a specific outcome. I want to work with those who have decided to navigate their path differently. I desire to assist those students with giving them guidance and support to follow and complete their own trajectory. Programs like Workforce READY allow students to delve into interesting and meaningful work and career paths. I want to be part of the solution that produce opportunities for all students especially those who have taken a road less traveled.
