Coming from portfolio school, I had to make an effort to not internalize a lot of stigma about the pharma space. My long term career goal is to do as much social cause work as possible, and the prevailing wisdom amongst younger creatives is that the two lines of work are in opposition to each other. That's because we view both with blinders on. I believe there is a strong argument to be made for pharmaceutical advertising AS socially conscious.
