Participating in the Teacher-in-Residence program at Achievement First is exactly what I need to reach my short term and my long-term goals. This program will give me the opportunity to not only teach and reach underprivileged children but it also gives me a chance to learn from highly qualified teachers like myself. I am interested in this position because it will challenge me while increasing my knowledge and giving me an opportunity to share the skills and tools that I have discovered along the way. I feel that I can thrive in the this setting with the support of its members and the implementation of its mission. This experience will lead me to obtaining my long term goal of completing my Masters and starting my own Focused Centered Program. Not only is this the next logical step in my career path but it is a chance to make a dream come true by becoming part of the magic that takes place at Achievement First.
