I applied online and my application was reviewed by the hiring manager. The process started with a 30 min phone screening for the manager to tell me more about the position and for me to explain my experience in more detail. The next step was an onsite interview which included a tour of the building and a face-to-face interview with the hiring manager. I did not proceed past this step, but next would have been another onsite interview meeting with team members and management.
