interviewer provided shell access to a machine which already had a C project folder setup for a relatively popular open source service. using just the terminal, we went over how to compile, run, and test the project. then they asked to add functionality to the code.

the interviewer mainly looked at how you navigate an unfamiliar project, whether you can spot important architectural aspects, and whether you can actually complete the code. fairly difficult in the allotted time.
