[Notes]: Throughout the years I’ve learned that the softwares tools and processes I use to be efficient at each company is not a one size fits all type of thing. I usually try to observe the company’s current workflow and how projects and communications get handled and then make changes based on that + the answer I received by asking teammates and CEO [What are your workflow needs?]. Overall, It varies a lot based on company goals, values, my position and how I’m expected to bring in value, but below I wrote one of the many variables. [Airtable]: I use this to manage and measure my personal workflows and also be able to visualize my current workflow. It really helps me stay on track. On our team we used this as an email management system and integrated zapier and trello alongside it to create a smooth workflow. [Trello]: One of the best ways I’ve seen this software getting used is for onboarding purposes! My onboarding went smoothly thanks to this. [monday.com]: I usually use this as a way to visualize our team’s workflow. It really helps in reducing manual grunt work. Found it very helpful in managing projects. [Asana]: Same benefits as monday.com and the only difference between the two is that monday.com is more visually appealing! Great way to manage teams and company project workflows. [Slack]: One of my favorite communication tools between our teams! We implemented an emoji system to reduce the burden of having to reply to every request and draining our energy. It reduced miscommunication a lot and increased our efficiency. I’ve also created a communication system like this between me and my boss, because I’ve realized how busy she was. We also created this integration through zapier that helped us a lot. [Zapier]: A true lifesaver! I realized a lot of the things our teams were doing were just mundane and repetitive tasks, so I implemented it in our process so our teammates would only focus on tasks that are valuable and important. [ClickUp]: In my recent employment, my boss and I had this very well-designed workflow for hiring freelancers, posting weekly on our website and doing product-listings , etc. I found it very helpful and if asana or monday.com seem too complex for individuals, we usually redirect them to ClickUp to help them stay on track and be efficient. [Notion]: I use notion to keep track of my goals, and also use it as an asset management system + achievement log + keeping track of progress I’ve made in my job! It has also been a great way of keeping track of my contacts and networking efforts. [processmaker] and [nintex] and [kissflow] and [ntask] and [basecamp]: These are the ones I haven’t had the opportunity to use professionally, just personal use and extensive theoretical knowledge. They have caught my attention and I believe they would be worth trying!
