The first step was a self-recorded interview on HireVue, including several questions asking the candidate to draft responses to complex or negative social media comments. The second stage was an online interview with the hiring manager and a team member. No communication or response to follow-ups over four weeks later. Candidates not progressing to the final stage or the recruitment process being paused/delayed are perfectly normal occurrences. However, the complete lack of communication is unprofessional.
