Accurate assessment of #LungCancer lesions is critical for diagnosis, personalized treatment planning, and monitoring therapy response. While AI has been applied commonly to segment primary lung tumors in recent years, capturing multiple lesions per patient has remained a challenge—until now. Our latest study introduces a three-step AI pipeline for CT scans: bounding box extraction, multi-instance lesion segmentation, and false positive reduction. ▪️ Dataset: 1,081 multicenter CT scans, 5,322 annotated lesions ▪️ Performance: up to 76% Dice similarity, 85% lesion detection sensitivity on independent and real-world datasets This work demonstrates how AI can provide more comprehensive, precise, and robust insights into lung cancer burden, supporting clinicians in delivering tailored care. https://bit.ly/4nCBL9X #WorldLungDay #AIinRadiology #MedicalImaging #DeepLearning #PrecisionMedicine

Events like the 𝘖𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘈𝘡𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵, hosted today by AstraZeneca in Madrid, are essential for sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration across the oncology community. With a focus on the latest advances in drug development and how to enhance clinical practice through innovative technologies, the event brought together key stakeholders driving the future of #cancercare. This year, our Medical Advisor Almudena Fuster Matanzo represented Quibim in the session “AI in Clinical Practice: Success Stories”, joining Siemens and Sycai Medical to highlight disruptive imaging solutions. It was a great opportunity to showcase how innovative tools can unlock the full potential of imaging data and help shape a future where technology and medicine work seamlessly together to transform cancer care. #OncologyInnovation #AIinHealthcare #MedicalImaging
🇫🇷 We are looking forward to participate in the 73rd JFR (Journées Francophones de Radiologie) in Paris, which will take place from October 3-6. This is a great opportunity to explore how AI is transforming medical imaging, improving precision, and optimizing #patientcare. Don’t miss Prof. Philippe PUECH's pitch, "QP-Prostate® : Optimiser la détection du cancer grâce à l´IA", on Friday, October 3rd at 15:05 in the Forum IA. And visit us at booth FIA-10 to meet our experts—Paul Idelson, Javier Pizcueta Pastor and Claire Palacin—who will be happy to show you our AI solutions and discuss how advanced image analysis can help radiologists in their daily practice. 📆 Don't forget to book a demo: https://lnkd.in/dZJjS_aH #JFR2025 #Radiology#AIinHealthcare #MedicalImaging #InnovationinHealthcare

In the healthcare sector, certifications go far beyond regulatory checkboxes - they are a guarantee of safety, performance and trust for both patients and professionals. Josep Hortigüela, Senior Vice President of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, took to the stage at the 𝐈 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 in Madrid to share Quibim's regulatory journey. In his talk, “𝘔𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘰𝘧𝘵𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘦. 𝘊𝘌 𝘊𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. 𝘒𝘦𝘺 𝘗𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘓𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘥”, Josep reflected on Quibim's path —three CE certifications under the MDR and three FDA clearances for AI-based SaMD solutions—to reveal what it truly takes to bring certified medical software to market. He emphasized the critical factors for compliance, including lifecycle standards and clinical evaluation, as well as cybersecurity, quality management, and realistic timelines, all essential for delivering safe and effective AI solutions in healthcare. 🎗️ 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with #ProstateCancer during their lifetime, and although localized cases have a five-year survival rate of nearly 100%, this figure drops to 32% when the disease spreads. In a recent pharmaphorum article, our CEO & Co-Founder Ángel Alberich-Bayarri explores how AI-generated images can transform prostate cancer care, enabling earlier detection, reducing unnecessary biopsies, and offering more personalized treatment. Awareness is important. But innovation is what will change outcomes. https://lnkd.in/ddYj5qqR #ProstateCancerAwareness #AIInHealthcare #MedicalImaging #CancerCare
We’re always excited to see advancements in prostate cancer detection that don’t require invasive biopsies. In honor of #ProstateCancerAwarenessMonth, we’re pleased to share this study on a promising noninvasive urine test that identifies prostate cancer using three biomarkers: TTC3, H4C5, and EPCAM. The test detects #ProstateCancer with 91% accuracy, even in PSA-negative patients, and can distinguish cancer from benign conditions like BPH and prostatitis. By reducing unnecessary biopsies, it represents a major step toward safer, earlier, and more precise diagnoses. It’s encouraging to see science opening new paths to earlier, safer, and more precise diagnoses.
