In our latest publication in 𝘌𝘚𝘔𝘖 𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘯, developed with INCLIVA Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria and the Hospital del Mar Research Institute, we present a radiomics-based AI model that predicts the risk of recurrence in stage II and III colon cancer. By combining radiomic and fractal biomarkers extracted from pre-surgery CT scans with clínical data, the model offers a non-invasive and more accurate alternative to current methods, enabling smarter decisions to be made before surgery. We’re proud to share that QP-Prostate has been selected for a major NHS England-backed rollout to support the early detection of prostate cancer across 7 hospitals in England. Over the next two years, QP-Prostate will assess over 3,000 patients, evaluating its impact on diagnostic accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and health equity. #ProstateCancer remains a major health challenge in the UK. Despite advances in care, only half of cases are diagnosed early — when treatment has the highest impact. The NHS Long Term Plan aims to raise this to 75% by 2028. Despite a low PSA (2), a strong family history in which both father and brother had #ProstateCancer raised clinical concern. With the support of QP-Prostate, the lesion was clearly flagged as suspicious. A biopsy confirmed the diagnosis and allowed timely treatment. The patient recovered without complications and returned home with an encouraging prognosis: 100% 5-year survival for localized prostate cancer.
