Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a Principal Consultant who brings deep expertise in business analysis and process transformation within laboratory and regulated environments. This role is responsible for leading clients through the definition of future-state workflows and business processes across laboratory and quality systems.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role that blends strategic advisory with detailed business analysis. The Principal Consultant works closely with stakeholders to understand current operations, define optimized future states, and translate business needs into clear, implementable requirements—without operating purely as a technical architect.

Key Responsibilities

Lead current-state assessments and facilitate the design of future-state workflows across laboratory, quality, and scientific data systems

Conduct deep discovery engagements, including stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs

Analyze business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for standardization and optimization

Define and document business requirements, process maps, and user journeys using structured methodologies (e.g., BPMN, user stories)

Translate business needs into functional requirements that can be executed by technical and configuration teams

Provide best-practice guidance on system-enabled process design across platforms such as LIMS, ELN, QMS, and related systems

Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment and clarity

Support solution shaping and roadmap development, ensuring business priorities are clearly represented

Drive decision-making and alignment during ambiguous or complex phases of transformation

Mentor junior consultants and contribute to delivery methodologies and reusable assets
Required Qualifications

8–12+ years of experience in business analysis, consulting, or process transformation
-
Advanced English
-
Strong experience working with laboratory, quality, or other regulated operational systems (e.g., LIMS, ELN, QMS, MES, etc.)

Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional workshops and discovery efforts

Deep expertise in requirements elicitation, process modeling, and workflow design

Experience operating in regulated environments (e.g., GxP, ISO)

Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotech, or manufacturing environments

Familiarity with system implementation lifecycles and validation approaches (CSV/CSA)

Experience contributing to digital transformation or system modernization initiatives

Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMP, Lean/Six Sigma, etc.)
