Descrição About Autism Initiatives Autism Initiatives is a registered charity supporting autistic people and their families across the UK and Ireland. The organisation was founded in 1972 by Pat Minshull, a dedicated mother in search of the right support for her son.
We are proud to offer a range of specialist services tailored to every individual. Services range from supported living and short breaks, to registered homes, one stop shops, education settings, supported work placements and support in the community.
Staff at Autism Initiatives are trained to offer person-centred support. Our approach is to listen and understand every autistic person as an individual, tailoring support and activities to personal interests and goals.
We are committed to prioritising the health and wellbeing of people we support, including social, emotional and mental health. We aim to work alongside people as they develop greater independence, pursue their interests and enhance their quality of life.
