The company is a subsidiary of Japan's Sankyo Transportation Co., a freight forwarding, warehousing, and logistic business. ClearFreight operates from about 11 US offices and owns international locations in the Netherlands, China and Chile. Originally, the company was founded as an import services and US Customs brokerage specialist in San Francisco in 1973.
