ElevenLabs is an audio AI company. We design and build generative speech and audio software for media, creators, publishers, and enterprises to help improve content accessibility, bridge language gaps, enhance interactive experiences, and offer new creative outlets.
We're as much involved in tech research as product deployment. This dual focus lets us design technology that sets the limits of what's currently possible in AI audio and tailor it to the needs of everyday users, prosumers, and businesses. We deliver lifelike, realistic, and emotionally rich AI voices and sound effects for a wide range of applications across 29 languages: from video content and gaming to publishing and conversational AI.
Our technology is used to voice audiobooks and news articles, animate video game characters, help in film pre-production, automate localization processes in entertainment, create dynamic audio content for social media and advertising, and train medical professionals. It has also given back voices to those who have lost them and helped individuals with accessibility needs in their daily lives.

ElevenLabs was founded in 2022 by best friends: Piotr, an ex-Google machine learning engineer, and Mati, an ex-Palantir deployment strategist. Inspired by the 'poor' dubbing of Hollywood movies they watched growing up in their native Poland, the pair set about designing a platform which could eliminate the linguistic barriers of content.
ElevenLabs launched in January 2023 and have since reached over 1 million users globally, partnering with the world’s biggest names. We closed our Series-C funding at a 3.3B valuation at the beginning of this year and are backed by the leading names in tech and AI (a16z, ICONIQ, NEA, Sequoia, NFDG, Salesforce, and many others) with previous investments from Credo Ventures and Concept Ventures. Angel investors include Instagram co-founder Mike Krieger, Oculus VR co-founder Brendan Iribe, Deepmind & Inflection co-founder Mustafa Suleyman, Perplexity AI co-founder Aravind Srinivas, Ubiquity6 co-founder Anjney Midha, Reface co-founder Dima Shvets, Inkitt co-founder Ali Albazzaz, Vercel founder Guillermo Rauch, O'Reilly Media founder Tim O'Reilly, Creator Ventures and SV Angel.
