Although many US residents might think so, Federal Screw Works (FSW) is not a division of the Internal Revenue Service. "This" Federal Screw Works is a manufacturer of fasteners and related items, primarily for the automotive industry. The company produces high-volume lots to the specifications of manufacturers. Nonautomotive sales are mainly to makers of durable goods. FSW's products include locknuts, bolts, piston pins, studs, bushings, shafts, and other machined, cold-formed, hardened, and ground-metal parts. It maintains five manufacturing facilities, all of which are located in Michigan.
