Ferris State University, founded by Woodbridge and Helen Ferris in 1884, prepares students for successful careers, responsible citizenship and lifelong learning.
Distinguished by its strong heritage of opportunity and career-oriented approach to education, Ferris is committed to the quality of its instruction and offers more than 180 programs, ranging from associate to doctoral degrees, through eight degree-granting colleges: Arts and Sciences, Business, Education and Human Services, Engineering Technology, Health Professions, Kendall College of Art and Design, Michigan College of Optometry, and Pharmacy.
Ferris State University has more than 14,000 students enrolled in classes on its main campus in Big Rapids, 21 off-campus sites throughout Michigan and at Ferris’ Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids. The university strives to align its practices and resources in support of its core values of collaboration, diversity, ethical community, excellence, learning and opportunity.
