Fisher Development is a big fish in the tenant improvement general contracting sector. The company provides core/shell and historic preservation construction services for retail stores, restaurants, and corporate offices throughout the US and Canada. It also provides construction management and design/build services for its clients. Fisher Development builds for some of the top names in retail, including Sephora, Gap, Tiffany & Co., Foot Locker, and Williams-Sonoma. The company was originally founded as a residential subdivision builder in 1971 by chairman and owner Robert Fisher, brother of Gap founder and chairman Donald Fisher. The firm shifted to retail construction after building for Gap.
