NovaVision aims to restore or improve sight lost after stroke or brain injuries. The company's Vision Restoration Therapy (VRT) has received FDA approval and is available through more than 35 specialty clinics and medical centers in the US. VRT is used to treat vision problems such as decreased sight in half or a quarter of the visual field, blind spots, and scattered areas of lost vision. VRT works by stimulating undamaged neurons and increasing their functionality, taking advantage of neuroplasticity -- the brain's ability to recover from injury or disease by retraining undamaged neurons.
