SemiLEDs helps light up our lives. Through various subsidiaries and joint ventures, the holding company develops, makes, and sells light emitting diode (LED) chips and components, electronic parts that emit light in a variety of brightness levels and colors. They are used in street lights and commercial, industrial, and residential light bulbs and fixtures. Its blue, green, and ultraviolet (UV) LED chips are sold under the MvpLED brand primarily to customers in China, Taiwan, and other parts of Asia. A smaller portion is sold in the US. Key customers include distributors and packagers that process LED chips into LED components. SemiLEDs went public in 2010.
