Transense Technologies knows what it is like to operate under pressure--and would like to warn drivers about it. The company makes sensors that alert drivers to dangerous changes in tire pressure. Transense Technologies has also developed a variety of sensors intended to measure minute changes in pressure, torque, and strain in tires, steering columns, brakes, and other automotive components. Transense Technologies' sensors use surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology to detect these changes. Transense Technologies was founded by chief executive James Perry, a former UK financial journalist, and by the company's former advanced research director, Anthony Lonsdale.
