As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we’ve set out a bold roadmap for the next five years in our new Council Plan 2025–2029. This plan outlines how every member of our team contributes to delivering excellence, reducing inequalities, and improving life chances for all who live and work in Walsall.
Developed with input from various stakeholders and the local community, the plan tackles our most pressing challenges and seizes emerging opportunities. It has been developed around several key ambitions:
• Thriving and Happy: creating a safe, supportive environment for all residents, focusing on child development, crime reduction, and community empowerment
• Healthy and Well: promoting physical and mental wellbeing through accessible leisure facilities, public health support, and quality housing
• Prosperous and Innovative: fostering inclusive economic growth, job creation, and digital connectivity to make Walsall a hub of innovation
• Proud of our Borough: celebrating culture, heritage, and green spaces while promoting environmental sustainability and community pride
• Continuously Improving: striving for excellence in service delivery with a skilled workforce and leveraging technology and data for efficiency
