Wells Financial doesn't want you to get tapped out. It's the holding company for Wells Federal Bank, which serves southern Minnesota and northern Iowa through 10 branches and a loan production office. Founded in 1934, the bank offers standard deposit services and credit cards. Mortgages secured by agricultural real estate and one- to four-family residences comprise most of the bank's lending activities; consumer, business, and construction loans round out its loan portfolio. Bank subsidiary Wells Insurance Agency sells property/casualty, life, and health insurance and mutual funds, and Greater Minnesota Mortgage originates home loans for resale through referrals from other community banks.
