Analyst (Java Programmer)

  • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of complex software solutions for web and mobile platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, and other developers, to understand system architecture and technical requirements.
  • Write clean, maintainable code while learning from and contributing to code reviews, mentoring sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Support the definition and implementation of coding standards and best practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Assist in translating business requirements into technical specifications and scalable architecture with support from senior team members.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications to improve performance and scalability.
  • Contribute to initiatives for refactoring legacy systems and integrating new technologies under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) – from planning and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Support the security, maintainability, and extensibility of all systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them when appropriate with team guidance.
  • Provide 24/7 support on a rotational basis when required to ensure system uptime, address critical issues, and support uninterrupted healthcare operations.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years of hands-on experience in software development with a strong focus on Java (internships, coursework, or projects in healthcare-related domains are a plus).
  • Solid grasp of Agile/Scrum development methodologies and experience working within Agile teams.
  • Hands-on experience with server-side Java technologies (e.g., Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate) and familiarity with client-side technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js, Laravel).
  • Understanding of architectural patterns such as MVC, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
  • Foundational knowledge of database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and basic query optimization; familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) is a plus.
  • Experience using Git, understanding branching strategies, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
  • Ability to participate in high-level design decisions and technical planning with support from senior engineers.
  • Awareness of secure coding practices and performance optimization techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities, especially under time-sensitive situations.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including clinical staff.
  • Passion for learning and contributing to team capabilities in a collaborative environment.
  • Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation to address critical system issues outside of regular business hours when required.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project implementation, on-site support, and client engagement.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,600.00 per month
