Backend Developer (Python/Django) - Remote PH

Role Overview
We are seeking a Backend Developer with 5 years of experience in Python and Django to design, build, and scale high-performance backend systems for enterprise and SaaS applications. This role requires strong architectural thinking, clean coding standards, and hands-on experience delivering secure, production-grade APIs and services.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Python and Django.
Build and manage RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework.
Design and optimize relational database schemas, ensuring scalability and performance.
Write clean, modular, and testable code following best practices.
Improve system performance, reliability, and security across environments.
Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control.
Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
Collaborate with frontend developers (React, Vue, or similar) to ensure seamless integration.
Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Debug, refactor, and modernize legacy systems.
Document technical designs, architecture decisions, and system processes.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural planning.

Required Qualifications
5 years of professional backend development experience.
Strong expertise in Python and Django.
Hands-on experience with Django REST Framework.
Proven experience designing scalable SaaS platforms.
Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
Experience implementing secure authentication and authorization systems.
Experience with CI/CD automation and modern deployment workflows.

Preferred Skills
Experience with asynchronous task processing (Celery, Redis).
Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
Cloud deployment experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.
Strong understanding of application security best practices and OWASP principles.
