Full-Stack Engineer (Node/React.js)

Client: Our client is a leading U.S. education company that has been transforming K–12 learning since 2000. They create next‑generation curriculum and formative assessment solutions, offering interactive products designed for both teachers and students. Their programs support learners from elementary through high school and are used in all 50 states, across 21,000+ schools, serving over 10 million students.

• Position overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Full‑Stack Engineer to join a growing team supporting a leading U.S. education technology company. In this role, you will design and build scalable, high‑performance backend and frontend solutions using modern JavaScript/TypeScript technologies.

• Technology stack: Languages & Frameworks: Node.js, JavaScript, React.js
• APIs: RESTful APIs, GraphQL
• Data Stores: PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (AppSync, Lambda), Serverless, Terraform, Datadog

• Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, high-performance solutions using JavaScript / TypeScript
• Lead technical decisions in Node.js backend development and modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React)
• Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and security issues across complex systems
• Participate in and drive code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical improvements
• Improve system observability, monitoring, logging, and error handling
• Ensure high code quality through testing, documentation, and CI/CD practices

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• 5+ years of experience with Node.js
• 2+ years of experience with a modern frontend framework (e.g. React)
• Experience with database technologies (ideally NoSQl DBs and MongoDB)
• Experience deploying production systems in the cloud (AWS)
• Experience (professional or personal) with using and integrating the latest AI coding technologies: e.g., LLMs, Model Context Protocol, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot
• Strong problem - solving ability and experience working within complex systems and large code bases
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work in a self-driven way

Nice to have: Ukrainian language proficiency
