Lead Data Software Engineer (Java+GCP)

We are seeking a Lead Data Software Engineer (Java+GCP) to drive the design and implementation of scalable data solutions. In this role, you will lead technical initiatives, mentor team members and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality data engineering products on the Google Cloud Platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of data software solutions using Java and GCP
- Architect scalable and reliable data pipelines on Databricks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define technical requirements
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering team members
- Ensure code quality through reviews, best practices and standards enforcement
- Optimize SQL queries and data processing workflows for performance
- Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions across data engineering projects
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders in English to align on project goals
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data software engineering
- Proficiency in Java and SQL
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform and Databricks
- Capability to design and lead complex data engineering initiatives
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
