QA Engineer - API Testing/Automation (Java)

Scope:

• Core responsibilities to include write, design, and execute automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically. Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system

Our current technical environment:

• Software: Java, J2EE, Oracle, GIT, Rest API, React.js, ExtJs.
• Automation Framework: Selenium
• Devops: CI/CD- Jenkins

What you’ll do:

• Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios
• Write documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases;
• Build test automation frameworks;
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Monitor debugging process results
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

What we are looking for:

• BE/B. Tech or ME/M. Tech or MCA and minimum 3-7 years of experience in Software development of large and complex enterprise applications.
• Proven work experience in software development
• Knowledge in Selenium and Java
• Experience in testing Web Application or Mobile App
• Knowledge in TestNG/JUnit or JS (Jest/Jasmine/Mocha & Chai)
• Knowledge in Testing of RESTful web services
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
• Demonstrates the ability to install and configure relevant products on all supported platforms in all supported configurations
• Works with development team to provide inputs to fix issues and possible solutions to problems
• Demonstrates problem solving and innovation abilit
