- You work with great people. I met some very smart very wonderful folks especially in CR. I genuinely miss working with lots of the folks I worked with and generally everyone you meet is kind, helpful, and positive to work with. - The obvious pros of remote work, I was always caught up on laundry, no commute, etc. Especially if you have a good boss, there's lots of flexibility and understanding for things like appointments, going out on a quick walk, etc. - If you can find yourself with a bit of luck and getting assigned clients who have money to play with, you can actually make some good money in spurts through commissions on upsells. This is as much about luck as it is skills though. In my years I had really great quarters and bone dry ones and it all felt like if I just happened to get clients who needed more and could pay for it. - You learn a lot in this role. You solve real problems and work with all different kinds of people and businesses, so the experience is great. As noted below, I think it's because you're thrown into too much and told to figure it out, but if you can figure it out, you gain good experience.

Contras

- The CSC role in particular was just incredibly under-resourced. The portfolio size per person is quite large, and you're generally just expected to handle everything. (In my time there I only had 2 situations where a situations was deemed adequate to escalate to a manager.) You sit in the line of fire in this CSC role, if someone doesn't like a policy of ours, or they feel like they were sold something that we haven't provided, it's all on the CSC to take that on the chin, and that can make the job very emotionally taxing. - It can be a very rah-rah culture, and it borders on forced/false positivity very often. One time at a all company conference, someone brought up a legitimate challenge and one of the C-suite individuals got up and instead of addressing it said "times like this I remind myself this is something we GET to do, not HAVE to do" which felt very tone deaf in that moment. - At a base level, there's not a ton of opportunity for advancement. This is made even more difficult if you don't endear yourself to the right people. It's not enough to be good at your job, you've gotta play the game. - Incredible amount of attrition both within the department and department leadership made it really hard for things to feel stable. Limited development opportunity with this environment. - As noted on basically all the other reviews, the pay really isn't competitive.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful reflection on your experience as a Client Success Consultant. We’re grateful for the years you invested in serving clients and supporting your teammates, and we appreciate the care you clearly still have for the people and the work. We’re encouraged to hear that the relationships you built, the flexibility of remote work, and the opportunity to solve real problems were meaningful parts of your journey. The CSC role is designed to be both challenging and impactful, and we’re glad the experience helped you grow professionally and develop valuable skills. At the same time, we take your feedback seriously, particularly around workload, emotional demands, stability, development opportunities, and compensation. The CSC role sits at the center of the client and contractor experience, and we recognize that carrying a large portfolio and navigating complex situations can be taxing without the right level of support and resourcing. Your comments reinforce the importance of ensuring our teams feel equipped, heard, and supported in the work they do every day. We also appreciate your candor regarding culture and communication. Our intention has always been to foster an encouraging, solutions-oriented environment, but we understand that positivity must be paired with transparency, responsiveness, and space for honest dialogue, especially when challenges arise. Feedback like yours helps us reflect on how we show up in those moments. Your observations about growth, retention, and long-term development are important as well. As we continue to evolve as an organization, we are actively evaluating how we create clearer pathways for advancement, strengthen leadership stability, and ensure compensation and career progression remain competitive and sustainable. Thank you again for sharing your perspective with such honesty and professionalism. We’re grateful for the contributions you made during your time with BELAY and wish you continued success in your career and the next season ahead. Warmly, The BELAY Team

RUN! This company is in chaos and it is an absolute shambles. I used to look up to the company but no more. Everyone wants to leave the company and there is no investment in the people or the culture. I actually used to want to work for the company as a FT but after hearing horror stories of how the CEO talks about employees in private and how the Csuite is in absolute chaos from multiple people in the company, it is clear that I never want to work for this company and nor should you. They also take 50% minimum of what the client pays.
