Skilled and resilient coworkers doing their best in a tough environment. A few pockets of innovation still exist, though they’re becoming increasingly rare.

Contras

The recent reorganization has left the tech organization in complete disarray. Senior leadership turnover is accelerating, creating instability and a lack of direction. Four managing directors have left the senior tech leadership team in the last year. Those who remain are either long time company veteran some with nearly 30 years at the firm and little to no outside experience or newly hired leaders who are struggling to gain momentum due to internal friction and politics. The new operating model is either unclear or nonexistent teams are constantly shifting from one crisis to the next. The "Domino" initiative failed to deliver and has become a symbol of the dysfunction, largely because there’s no solid operating model behind it. Morale is low, and leadership seems increasingly disengaged. There’s a culture of silence, transparency is lacking. The business is frustrated, and the gap between tech and commercial objectives keeps growing. Experienced coworkers are leaving, citing the ongoing chaos and lack of confidence in leadership.
