Prós
Mainly easy projects with good budgets, skilled teams, decent work-life balance, very good market offering (makes winning pitches easy!), some really well-known clients. If you have been there for a while and are in client-facing team, training budget, flexible hours and a lot of freedom to structure your work will be on offer to you. Most of the team members are genuinely helpful and they care about the clients and their colleagues. HR pushes through some really good initiatives on frequent basis (subsidized theatre tickets and gym, increasing pension %, social club etc). London office is in a great location. If you survive for more than a year, good stepping stone to other jobs in the industry.
Contras
If you do work in delivery, senior management are not particularly interested (except on whether you are making a decent margin), mid management are overworked so you better have a plan for yourself and some skills because – you will get minimal mentorship and on the job training. CEO changes bonuses scheme as and when he pleases, PE backing Investis is aggressive and £££ focused only. Little training provided to most new starters, not a great environment if you are junior looking to develop your career. The aircon/heating in the building is rubbish, bring your own blanket in the winter.
