It moves fast here and still functions as a start-up at times though it's a 14-year-old company. Not really a con as much as it is the standard for most small software companies. Again, if you are willing to learn and be humble then you will extract an extreme amount of value.

Relaxed work environment. Small jovial team that is very helpful and responsive. Very Flexible schedule. Great central location.

No team communication. Apart from the product team, there were literally no full company meetings to communicate company direction and priorities or to motivate staff. for such a small team, it would be a simple solution. Leader(s) are either silent or micro-managers which discourages initiative or growth. There is a tendency to "talk in circles" and projects die. Leadership is at times overbearing and talks down to staff. As a result, good people end up working in "silos" or quitting altogether. There is virtually no team atmosphere or importance placed on professional growth. It's amazing that anything gets accomplished.
