At one point I had like 10 laptops for different clients. It was pretty chaotic. They have one guy there that is incredibly toxic. He is one of "those" tech guys that is so smart that everyone has to tolerate his insufferable behavior. I was warned several times to just avoid him at all costs. This was a major red flag because any company that even tolerates this is enabling toxic culture. However, I unfortunately got placed on a project where he was hoarding all of the knowledge so I had to interact with him. Things this one man did in my short 3 months there: Ream me out for asking questions in public channels (This was policy at my last company so questions are indexed) Ream me out for not asking questions at all (I asked him many questions when I needed to. He just yelled at me or blew me off any time I tried). But the worst one was when I had to take some sick leave. When I came back, he decided to have a personal meeting with me where he was so disgustingly unsympathetic and rude that I am convinced he might be a legitimate sociopath. I was going to tell my boss I never should be in a meeting with him alone again but I decided to quit instead. I will never forget that disrespect.
