The majority of the people who work at ModBot are brilliant, unique individuals and would make amazing additions to any company.
Contras
The CEO has his set of skills but leading and growing a company are not in his wheel house. Products were launched and major decisions made based off personal ambitions, unrealistic timelines and pride before they were properly tested or vetted. This led to huge losses financially, a decline in customer satisfaction and overall team moral. Solid advice, feedback and warnings provided by skilled team members are consistently overlooked for his ego. On paper, a company without a set schedule, vacation policy or HR department might seem like a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of traditional business structures. In this case, it led to a toxic environment of harassment, unrealistic and undefined expectations and little time for anything other than ModBot. When staff does not conform, they are either bullied to resign or fired. The level of harassment is so extreme in some cases it is surprising there has not been a lawsuit. The work environment is also flawed. Everyone is in an "open air" space. Desks are on top of one another which leads to a lot of noise and distractions. Very hard to conduct meetings or phone calls with outside individuals. The space was "designed" by the CEO who seems to value a cool image over functionality and accommodation for employees.
