Pros - Talking to and working with founders is fun - Free lunch (quality not guaranteed) - Razorpay some teams are good to work at. - Middle management can work their own agenda, so good for people who are cunning, devious and who want to please others.

Cons 0. No flexibility - No work from home. All 5 days of work from office 1. No growth or equal opportunity- Tenure > Quality of work - You are not given opportunities or considered unless you spend 2+ years in the company 2. HRBP Payments Business Org- HR is the puppet of management- if you apply for IJPs that information is not confidential. You put papers, that is not confidential information, discussions with HR are discussed with your direct managers and their managers. Nothing discussed with HR is confidential 3. Zero to No hikes 4. Pay is not per market standard 5. Pay negotiation when getting in- They don't let you negotiate and won't move even by a 1000 bucks. They lowball you when trying to get in and later no hike and growth. 6. Culture sucks- We are expected to appreciate the culture simply because of the two or three events that are organised in its name. 7. Say in a team of 10, only one is promoted after 2-3 years. So no promotions 8. Very bad biases 9. Very bad middle management 10. Too much politics in the company - tough to navigate everyday 11. 1000s of Whatsapp groups 12. Despite having experience, you're still treated as if you're inexperienced 13. Operates and pays like a services company despite calling themselves a startup. 14. Unexplained paycuts. 15. Disrespect towards employees. 16. Ready to burn out employees and be as inconsiderate and treat as replaceable off the shelve goods. 17. A very toxic, stagnant, reeking of decay - braced for failure culture.
