Worked at SessionAI for over a year in a management role within the CSE team. The company initially looked promising, but the internal reality eventually became extremely unstable. A huge percentage of employees were removed in a very short period of time. Instead of conducting proper layoffs with transparency and severance, many employees were pushed toward submitting resignations themselves. The handling of the situation felt deeply unprofessional and created widespread distrust across teams. During the final months, leadership appeared more focused on keeping the company afloat and positioning it for acquisition than supporting employees or maintaining culture. Internally, there was constant uncertainty, low morale, and very little honest communication about the company’s future. What made the experience worse was seeing hardworking employees suddenly treated as disposable despite contributing heavily to the company’s growth.
