This place has the potential to do a lot of good. Pay is average for the location (but too low for the demands of the job). Benefits are below average. Front line staff tend to band together and work well as a team.

This is a for profit hospital offering help...but mostly profiting. If they would limit group sizes and staff appropriately this would be a great place. Unfortunately group sizes often exceed 20-30 patients with a staff ratio of 1 to 20 on avg. Its chaotic and often dangerous on the unit. I can't see how this is more helpful than traumatic for the patients. Staff do not have the resources they need to do their jobs (still using paper records and VHS?). Suggestions for change are rarely implemented, and blamed on "this is what its like working in a hospital setting." Unfortunately instead of embracing and encouraging positive change this shrugged shoulders mentality from upper management affects the overall hospital culture and is often passed down to the patients.
