Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 3 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela 1-800 Contacts em abr. de 2026

It starts with a coding assessment with Angular, RxJS, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS, but beyond the basics of CSS, so it is not easy stuff like basic ID or class selectors. It is not like Leetcode algorithms, but rather multiple choice questions as well as programming portions.
If you do at least decently on this assessment, they'll move you to the first HR screen, which is pretty straightforward and nothing technical.
Then, the round with two managers. They were very nice, kept talking about how great it was, and kept saying "good answer" and then I didn't advance with a generic rejection email from HR a few days later.
Very disappointing, because I have no idea what they actually wanted, and I really need a job right now.
I can only assume that there were so many people in the pipe that I must've set something off arbitrarily. Either that, or they are great liars.

Entrevista
Pros:
• Interviewers were professional and friendly throughout the process
• Opportunity to meet multiple team members and get a well-rounded view of the role
• Process gave good insight into how the team collaborates
Cons:
• Interview process was very long (6 rounds), which required a significant time commitment
• Final decision was communicated through a generic rejection email with no personalized feedback
• Lack of transparency at the end of the process made it difficult to understand areas for improvement
Advice to Management:
Consider streamlining the interview process or providing more meaningful feedback to candidates who reach the final stages. After multiple rounds, candidates have invested a considerable amount of time and would benefit from a more personalized and transparent closing experience.

I was asked to do a phone screen roughly 3 weeks after I applied. After that I had a 30 minute interview with a senior engineer where I was asked some technical questions (things like explain what polymorphism is, how the async/await keywords work, etc). The guy who interviewed me was pleasant to talk to and I felt like that one went well. The next interview however was a panel interview with the team meant to assess whether I would be a good culture fit. I wasn't too impressed with this one, they all kept their introductions very short and I guess had done too many interviews that week because it was clear enough to me that they didn't want to be there. If their day to day interactions are anything like that interview, it's a pretty stifling work environment.
