Entrevista para Account Executive/Manager In Training

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me de outra forma. O processo levou 3 dias. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa 2k Manhattan (Hackensack, NJ).

      Entrevista

I applied to this company and within 5 hours I received a response to coordinate an interview. The entire interview process went very well and the employees seemed great, although after doing some thorough research on the company I had realized that I was being mislead. The position that was advertised was not at all the position they were attempting to fill, nor do I believe the position even existed. I was given a sales pitch which I have seen numerous times on the internet by other past employees word-for-word that mentioned becoming a manager in 10 months and being paid $150,000 salary. (Yeah right). Claiming that the manager would soon be leaving and that I would be trained to assume his position. (I've seen those reviews dated well over a year ago and he's still there). As advertised, 2k Manhattan affirms that they do NOT participate in door to door sales. What else would you call walking the streets selling cosmetics to strangers? That is what my "paid training" consisted of, which is another deceptive tactic entirely. New employees are also hired on as private contractors which is not mentioned anywhere in the ads or interviews, so you are working for yourself not the company, and you must pay taxes back on the money you've made at the years end. (Not so bad, just mentioning). Salary/Benefits are offered in almost all of their job listings although in reality pay is 100% commission based so be prepared to work VERY hard for long work weeks, 45-70 hours. Before applying to this company I would consider doing your homework and identifying with the recruiter what it is that you will actually be doing. Good luck asking questions though, the interviews are kept extremely brief and unless you cut them off you won't have the opportunity to inquire anything. If the business is so well known and reliable then why do they change their name with every new location they open? I can tell you why, it's simple arithmetic, misleading recruitment information+poor employee experiences= bad reputation. Changing the name gives them the opportunity for a fresh start. (Previously 2k Millenium, search & read their reviews). I just want to protect all of you young graduates who they are specifically targeting because they believe new college graduates don't know any better. That's an insult. There are many companies out there who don't have to lie in their job advertisements to find new employees. I guarantee that you can put that expensive education to much better use with a company that upholds their integrity. Good luck to all!
