1.first general aptitude test. a.quantative aptitude b.english 2.general aptitude regarding your undergraduate subject a.engineering drawing if MECHANICAL b.programming questions if IT or CS 3.intetview round *few geometry questions (pythagoras) *few engineering drawing questions eg:top and side view will be given and we have to make 3d view (tip:more then one 3d view are possible and one 2d view was missing like bottom view ) *few questions on common sense *few questions on units and dimensions (for some people it took few days for getting to round 3 .who came at the last date and cleared 1 and 2 round were eligibke for round 3 same day) 4.technical round

A friend of mine who works as software developer referred me . 2 Aptitude rounds which also included geometry and views and some basic English (easy). I waited for almost 2 hours before the technical round Though most of the questions in the technical round were basic, I personally had the feeling that the interviewer decided that he is going to reject me after I said which college I was from. At one point of time I even felt that he was not impressed no matter how good my answer was. Asked some tough ones too like design a shaft with calculations (gave rpm and other random values like stress - maybe it was tough for me). He mainly focused on Engineering drawing questions, gave the front and top and asked me to draw the isometric view. Over all I felt the interview was good, even though I wasn't selected. What I understood from that interview was that big companies like 3dplm don't compromise on the quality of their new hires. There were 40 odd people that day and two went to us went to the final round. I was not even 60% best of what can be generally . Good learning and interview experience.
