Bizarrely, just two days after being told I had advanced, I received another email stating that due to internal 'realignment,' the role was no longer a fit and they wanted to hop on a feedback call. At that stage, given the ongoing inconsistencies and the lack of respect for a candidate's time, I declined to pursue the conversation further.
