A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn and set up an initial interview. After that, I had three more interviews, one with team lead, one with the manager, and one with an executive. These interviews were genuinely enjoyable. They were interested in my work history and my personal interests.

I had two interviews with them for a copywriter role, while I thought the intial interview with recruiter went well, the following interview with the direct manager was not as great. Not only did he make the copywriter enviroment seem obnoxiously and unconstructively competitive, but they struggled being transparent about their culture. For a company that emphasizes health and caring for elderly parents (moms), their covid procedure was non-existent. They struggled answering basic questions I had during the interview and struggled telling me why they "chose to go with someone else" even though throughout the process they kept telling me how great of a fit I would be. Basically Gaslightlighting 101 throughout the process.
