A short essay to explain the difference between two patents.
Sigiloso
This really gets to the heart of the problem because the person who gives this two-patents test and decides whether you're fit for working at SY isn't a qualified patent attorney (they're a general attorney-at-law, and not Japanese law either) nor are they a native speaker of English. The result is the repeated hiring of people who then quickly get fired once they arrive in Japan because they can't speak English well enough, and people who don't have the technical chops to do the job, which is sad really. Of course lots of people get fired from SY all the time (seemed to happen every week, and not quietly either), mostly for issues unrelated to competence. I recall a Filipino paralegal getting fired, and then un-fired and called back to the office because they had work that SY needed doing, and then fired again the next day.
