She was approached by a recruiter via Linkedin and she quickly scheduled an initial interview and was in contact with me throughout the process, providing information or being available for questions. From then on I had three more interviews until the offer, where I got to know the team and the management.

Had a call with a recruiter, then an interview, then was asked to complete a design task. The call and interview went well and they seemed like like good people to work with. Felt like I had a good chance. However their design task was unreasonable. 2 static images, 2 10-30 sec videos, and 3 tshirt designs. This is more than I've ever been asked to do as part of a design task. Furthermore they emailed me about it on a Tuesday with a due date of Thursday - 2 days. I work full time and they knew that. Essentially I would have had to work late on this task 2 nights in a row, cancel any plans, eat only takeaway food in lieu of cooking, not go to the gym etc. All for the possibility of getting to another interview. What makes it worse is this is a company that should recognise the value of people's health and wellbeing. Major red flag. I'm not sure why companies think this is an acceptable or efficient way of hiring people.
