They posted on INDEED and I met all the requirements and more for this position. Someone called immediately to schedule an interview. The day of my interview the office manager Sandra was 15 mins late to our scheduled interview because she was out shopping in the market places in china town. Then we talked about if I would be comfortable working there because everyone spoke Chinese or mandarin ( she said she didn’t want me to think they were talking about me ) that went on for 10 mins of the interview. The interview was very untraditional. She seemed like she was warning me instead of selling me on the company. It was awful and I wasted gas money coming there. I left feeling like I didn’t accomplish anything and wasn’t going to receive a called back for for.

Entrevista
I met the CEO and the Medical Director together for about 45 minutes. They had already reviewed my resume in advance. Because language is important in this job, they began by speaking to me in Chinese but then soon switched to English. They asked me about my education history, work experience and my life experience. Then the CEO left. The medical director asked me about my adverse history in confidence. I explained it to him and he was sympathetic to me. After the total of 1.5 hour interview, they took me to lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant

Entrevista
After submitting CV and letter of interest, HR will call for interviews, usually these occur with more than 1 supervisor. Often there is a panel of 2 more more. Interviews may include a 2nd interview especially if there are a lot of candidates. Language skills and experience are key - but not the only criteria. High energy level and enthusiasm for serving the API community is essential.

Usually there will be a clinical roleplay or vignette during the interivew- so be prepared to think clinically. There may be a language test to ascertain if you are truly bi-lingual. Sometimes also a very brief writing sample test to make sure you know how to write clinical notes.
