2 fairly young ladies - friendly enough at first but then they had me sit for a personality quiz (felt more like a vocabulary test to which I got my red marker out) to which I never got the results and I still don't know what they were looking for - I suppose I failed?
Then, in the interview, I had to hand over my CV again, I just so happened to have it on me, it appeared they had never seen my CV before. The questions asked did not indicate that they knew what they wanted to hear - they just asked a standard repertoire to get to know me? They generally did not listen to the answers - had they listened for anything in particular there would have been no need for half of the questions.
I explained that I was an expat and as such the legal minimum I have to be paid is 5k - which is not much but they actually tried to push me further down - hiring me for less than 5k is simply illegal.
There was little they offered on their own - no benefits, no allowances, provide your own transport and even regarding themselves and who they were - I had to pull everything out of them. I left the interview feeling like I had applied for the role of a CEO but was interviewed for the position of an intern.
It did not feel professional and may have been acceptable for a local supermarket but not an established organisation like AFS.
